Canada Issues 3,300 Invitations in Latest Canadian Experience Class Draw

In a recent Express Entry draw, Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) issued 3,300 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) for Canadian Experience Class (CEC) candidates. Applicants required a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 507 to qualify.

This draw followed another one just a day earlier, where 1,121 candidates from the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) received ITAs with a minimum CRS score of 694.

Over the past few months, IRCC has conducted multiple draws in close succession, with an increasing focus on Canadian Experience Class and Provincial Nominee Program applicants. This approach aligns with their commitment to reducing temporary residents in Canada and achieving the permanent resident admission targets outlined in the 2024-2026 Immigration Levels Plan.

IRCC has set a goal to welcome 110,770 new residents through Express Entry in 2024 and 117,500 in 2025. The latest rounds of ITAs will likely help meet the targets for 2025, as the processing standard for Express Entry applications is six months.

Recent Express Entry Draws:

  • September 19: 4,000 ITAs, CRS 509 (CEC)
  • September 13: 1,000 ITAs, CRS 446 (French Language Proficiency)
  • September 9: 911 ITAs, CRS 732 (PNP)
  • August 27: 3,300 ITAs, CRS 507 (CEC)
  • August 26: 1,121 ITAs, CRS 694 (PNP)

IRCC has increasingly adopted category-based draws, prioritizing applicants based on language skills and occupation. This trend will likely continue as Canada seeks to meet its immigration goals for the upcoming years.
