Canadian Provinces Announce New Invitations for Provincial Immigration Programs

Three Canadian provinces—Ontario, British Columbia, and Quebec—have recently extended invitations for candidates to apply for their respective provincial immigration programs. These invitations were issued as part of Canada’s Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs), designed to enhance the spread of immigration benefits across regions that historically attracted fewer newcomers.

Through these programs, Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) collaborates with provincial governments to allocate a specific number of nominations to each participating province. Provincial nominations significantly boost an applicant’s chances of gaining permanent residency by adding 600 Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points to Express Entry candidates, almost ensuring an Invitation to Apply (ITA) in the next draw.
